At a day-long conference on nuclear non-proliferation, Mr. Wolfsthal chaired a panel on preventing catastrophic terrorism. Among the issues they addressed were the threat posed by both nuclear and biological weapons, the ways in which they could be produced by terrorist organizations, methods of smuggling materials for weapons of mass destruction, and ways to monitor and interdict production operations. Following their remarks they answered questions from the audience. close
