Brian Latell talked about his book After Fidel: The Inside Story of Castro’s Regime and Cuba’s Next Leader, published by Palgrave Macmillan. In his book Mr. Latell discussed the future of Cuba. Mr. Latell, former Cuba analyst for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), explored the relationship between Fidel Castro and his unquestioned successor, brother Raul Castro. He compared their different approaches to leadership. Mr. Latell described Fidel as a creative genius and director, while Raul was seen as a pragmatic producer. Following his presentation, the author responded to questions and comments from members of the audience. close
