Peter Schweizer talked about his book Do As I Say (Not As I Do): Profiles in Liberal Hypocrisy, published by Doubleday. In his book he concludes that there is a distinct difference between the public policies endorsed by liberals and the policies they actually adhere to in their private lives. The author chronicles what he believes to be a double standard among liberals such as Michael Moore, Ralph Nader, Noam Chomsky, Barbra Streisand, and Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA) when it comes to issues such as environmentalism, affirmative action, corporate America, and tax cuts for the wealthy. He talked about how charges of hypocrisy distort public debate and about the difference in how these charges are applied to liberals and conservatives and reported in the media. He questioned whether liberal leaders truly believe the values they espouse.
