Addressing a group of service personnel with several uniformed bembers behind him on the podium, President Bush spoke at the Tobyhanna Army Depot about sacrifices made by military spouses and their families, paid respects to veterans who have made sacrifices in past battles, and explained the U.S. role in the fight against terrorism. In his remarks he also responded to recent criticism on the administration’s case for war in Iraq, stated that officials had not misled the American public, and focused on achievements such as capturing Saddam Hussein and al-Qaida members. close
