Democratic leaders spoke to reporters and responded to the president’s Veteran’s Day speech about Iraq. They said that the president’s speech had been misleading because he had claimed that investigations into intelligence prior to military action in Iraq had exonerated the administration from charges that it had manipulated intelligence to make a case for war. The senators said that the investigations into the matter had not been completed and that several questions about pre-war claims still existed. Following their remarks they answered questions from the reporters. close
