Undersecretary Levey spoke about components for fighting and winning the financial efforts to combat terrorism. He talked about the way terrorism networks raised money and ways the Treasury Department has protected the integrity of America’s financial system. Undersecretary Levey also referred to a letter from Ayman al-Zawahri telling Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, “I’m out of money,” saying there was evidence that tough measures to curb terrorism funding have made it for terror networks to collect, transfer, and store funds. Following his remarks, Undersecretary Levey responded to questions and comments from members of the audience. close
