Professor Franklin talked about his book, Mirror to America: The autobiography of John Hope Franklin, published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux. He spoke about his life experiences and his search for George Washington Williams, author of History of the Negro race in America from 1619 to 1880: Negroes as slaves, as soldiers, and as citizens. Following his presentation, he responded to questions and comments from members of the audience.
