Professor Frankfurt talked about his book On Bullshit, published by Princeton University Press. The book is an exploration of society’s acceptance of a slang word used to point out misinformation or lying. In the book he looks at the origins of the term and what it actually means. Professor Frankfurt spoke about his life writing and his concern for the importance of truth. Professor Frankfurt said that the bullshitter does not care about the truth at all, but manipulating the opinions of the people he’s talking to. Following his remarks, he responded to questions and comments from members of the audience.
