9/11 Public Discourse Project Report In the last public event sponsored by the 9/11 Public Discourse Project, members released a final assessment of congressional implementation of recommendations made by the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States. All ten former commissioners participated in the nonprofit successor organization to the 9/11 Commission. At the press conference, Commission Chair Kean and Vice Chair Hamilton made opening remarks. The report was critical of government efforts to improve national security and prevent future terrorist attacks, giving agencies and departments “more F’s than A’s” and noting a “lack of urgency” in addressing problems noted by the commission report in July 2004. Following their remarks they answered questions from reporters. close
