Ambassador Gross, coordinator of International Communications who represented the United States at the World Summit on the Information Society in Tunis, Tunisia, spoke about control of the Internet. He discussed whether countries other than the United States should have control over several technical elements of the Internet. The previous month, the U.S. rejected a proposal by the United Nations that would give several countries, with oversight from the U.N., control of aspects of the Internet. This and other topics were discussed last month at the summit. Ambassador Gross also responded to questions and comments from viewers. close
