Alexander Rose talked about his book Washington’s Spies: The Story of America’s First Spy Ring, published by Bantam. The book examines the use of intelligence during the Revolutionary War. Mr. Rose recounts tales of American spies who provided information to George Washington about British troops in New York City. He also discusses battle plans and the techniques used to gather information on battlefields. Mr. Rose’s presentation included information about more famous spies of that time, such as Nathan Hale and Benedict Arnold.
