Three of Judge Alito’s former clerks were interviewed about working with Judge Alito on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Hannah Smith was Judge Alito’s law clerk in 2001-02, Gary Rubman in 2000-01, and Jeffrey Wasserstein in 1997-98.
Also, Third Circuit Court of Appeals Senior Judge Edward Becker was interviewed by remote video from Philadelphia. Judge Becker, a colleague of Judge Alito, is also a close friend of Judiciary Committee Chair Senator Arlen Specter.
