Pamela Winnick talked about her book A Jealous God: Science’s Crusade Against Religion, published by Nelson Current. In her book about the often-tumultuous relationship between science and religion, the author wrote that the scientific community is as active as the religious community in pushing its agenda on the American public. According to the author, scientific researchers have become increasingly media-savvy in getting their message across, while at the same time, renouncing religion. She talked about specific cases of misbehavior by scientists, bioethics, and poor or biased science resources for the general public and for schools. Following her remarks, Ms. Winnick responded to questions and comments from members of the audience. close
