President Bush spoke at a program honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. titled “Let Freedom Ring,” which was held in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall. He spoke about the work of the civil rights leader and the late Ms. Rosa Parks, who was honored with the John Thompson Jr. Legacy of the Dream Award.
