Paul Wellstone: The Life of a Passionate Progressive
Bill Lofy spoke about his book Paul Wellstone: The Life of a Passionate Progressive, published by the University of Michigan Press. In his book, the author chronicles the life of Minnesota’s abrasive senator who offended everyone from veterans groups to many of his own constituents. Bill Lofy, a former campaign and staff worker, offered a look at the political and political development of a man whose death in a plane crash in 2002 was mourned by a cross section of political figures. The author also talked about the difference between being a progressive rather than a liberal. Following his presentation, he responded to questions and comments from members of the audience. close
