The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) considered a proposal to improve disclosure of corporate CEO pay and other executive compensation. Mr. Beller proposed to the commissioners a plan to force a corporation to disclose the total pay of its top five executives, with detailed payouts and incentive included, in a required “Compensation Discussion and Analysis” summary. The SEC compensation disclosure rules were the first major initiative of new Commission Chair Christopher Cox. close
