Mr. Coll talked about the latest developments with Al Qaeda, including threats from an Osama bin Laden video tape and the terrorist insurgency in Iraq. Mr. Coll, who was in Pakistan in October and November of 2005, spoke about relationships between the U.S. and Pakistan following U.S. air strikes in January of 2006. He also wrote an article in New Yorker titled “Young Osama: How He Learned Radicalism, and May Have Seen America.” The guest responded to telephone calls and electronic mail. close
