Frank Lindh talked about his son, John Walker Lindh, who is known as the “American Taliban.” He was captured with Taliban forces on the battlefield in Afghanistan in 2001, and is now serving a 20-year prison sentence in California. Frank Lindh talked about his son’s life before joining the Taliban, and his reaction to his son’s capture and subsequent prosecution. He discussed the constitutional and human rights issues of the case. During his presentation, Mr. Lindh showed photographs of his son, newspaper clippings, and charts. Following his remarks, he responded to questions and comments from members of the audience. Mr. Tanner moderated the event. close
