Bernard-Henri Levy, French philosopher and author, discussed his book American Vertigo: Traveling America in the Footsteps of Tocqueville, published by Random House. For his book, the author interviewed Americans from various backgrounds, including the famous and the struggling workers. He highlighted contradictions in American lifestyles, including actors pleading for the poor in their luxurious homes while those same poor struggle to pay their own rent. Despite being surrounded by anti-American sentiment, Mr. Levy maintains optimism for the future of a country he admires for its culture and political vision.
