Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan and others met in London to discuss a Middle East peace policy, in light of the Hamas victory in recent Palestinian elections. They congratulated the Palestinians for a free and secure election but warned that Hamas must reject violence. Earlier in the day, a Hamas leader urged the international community to continue giving aid to Palestine. close
