Joan Mellen talked about her book A Farewell to Justice: Jim Garrison, JFK’s Assassination, and the Case That Should Have Changed History, published by Potomac Books. The book argues that the government’s response to President John F. Kennedy’s assassination was insufficient. The author draws on the investigation of New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison, which exposes contradictions in the Warren Report, to conclude that both the FBI and CIA were involved in the president’s assassination. She argued that the success of this conspiracy effects American society to this day. After her presentation she answered questions submitted by members of the audience. close
