Events surrounding the funeral of Coretta Scott King were shown. Ms. King’s casket arrived at the Georgia State Capitol Rotunda in Atlanta. Members of the public paid respect to the civil rights leader and wife of Martin Luther King, Jr. Coretta Scott King died on January 30, 2006 after suffering a stroke and a mild heart attack.

The public viewing was held in the rotunda until 8 pm EST. The funeral was to be held at noon EST at the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, Georgia. close
