Ryan Wilson of the Oglala Lakota delivered the annual State of Indian Education address. He called for sharpening the focus of Title VII of the No Child Left Behind Act to ensure the development of meaningful and effective educational programs, improvement in educational opportunities, and enhancement of parental and family involvement in the schools educating Indian children. Following his remarks, Mr. Wilson, Ms. Sparks, and Mr. Garcia answered audience members' questions. close
