The panelists discussed the recent controversy surrounding the Bush administration’s surveillance by the National Security Agency without warrants. Topics included the legality of the domestic surveillance, its constitutionality, its effect on counterterrorism resources, and its impact on civil liberties and Fourth Amendment rights. Marvin Kalb moderated the meeting. After some discussion the panelists answered audience members' questions.
