Road to the White House included:

Governor George Pataki (R-NY) visited Iowa on February 2-4, 2006. It was Gov. Pataki’s fifth visit to the state since July 2005. Governor Pataki spoke at a February 2 Iowa Republican Party fundraiser at Luciano’s Restaurant in Sioux City. He attended a February 4 Johnson County Republican Party luncheon in Iowa City. On February 4 Governor Pataki toured the University of Iowa’s Operator Performance Laboratory at the Iowa City Municipal Airport.

Senator Evan Bayh (D-IN) visited Iowa on February 11-13, 2006. It was his third visit to the state since August 2005. Senator Bayh spoke on February 11 with the Linn Phoenix Club, a local Democratic activist group, in a private home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He also spoke with local Democratic women at a February 12 breakfast held by his political action committee, All America PAC, at the Crowne Plaze Five Seasons Hotel in Cedar Rapids.
