Marcus Stern, the Washington Bureau News Chief for the Copley News Service, talked about the case and sentencing of former Representative Randy “Duke” Cunningham (R-CA). Mr. Cunningham was scheduled for sentencing later in the day before a U.S. District Court judge in San Diego. Mr. Stern broke the story last June in the San Diego Union-Tribune in which he wrote that defense contractor Mitchell Wade had paid an inflated price for the former Congressman’s Del Mar home. He also responded to telephone and electronic mail comments and questions. close
