Jonathan Klick and Sally Satel discussed their book Health Disparities Myth: Diagnosing the Treatment Gap, published by AEI Press. In the book they assessed recent research on the question of whether a patient’s race affects how the medical care system deals with him or her. They discussed other factors that contribute to health care disparities and suggested strategies for improving the health of all underserved Americans. They were joined in a panel discussion and research charts were shown. After their presentations the participants responded to audience members' questions. close
