My Dear President
Gerard Gawalt talked about his book My Dear President: Letters Between Presidents and Their Wives, published by Black Dog and Leventhal Publishers. Mr. Gawalt, a curator of the papers of presidential families in the Manuscript Division of the Library of Congress, collected personal correspondence between U.S. presidents and their wives from the Library of Congress and other libraries. The author read portions of the cards, letters and telegrams he collected during the event. close
