Jean Lipman-Blumen and Barbara Kellerman are the authors of two different books on leadership and the harmful and helpful ways followers are affected. They also talked about the role that followership plays in determining the effectiveness of leadership. After their presentation they answered audience members' questions.

Ms. Lipman-Blumen is the author of The Allure of Toxic Leaders: Why We Follow Destructive Bosses and Corrupt Politicians and How We Can Survive Them, published by Oxford University Press. Ms. Kellerman is the author of Bad Leadership: What It Is, How It Happens, Why It Matters, published by Harvard Business School Press.

The event was part of the 16th annual Kravis-de Roulet Leadership Conference, “Rethinking Followership,” held at Claremont McKenna College. close
