Professor Nakash talked about his book Reaching for Power: The Shi’a in the Modern Arab World, published by Princeton University Press. He examined the meaning of the rise of the Shi’a in the Arab world. He described Shi’a history and argued that in order for Iraq to achieve political success the country must be unified. After his presentation he answered audience members' questions. close
