President Bush spoke about U.S. Policy in Iraq and efforts to combat global terrorism. In his remarks he expressed confidence in the U.S. military strategy in Iraq, offering recent joint operations with Iraqi security forces in Tall Afar as an example of successful results of training efforts. He also said that positive developments in Iraq had been overwhelmed by the grim pictures of mayhem and massacre that dominated the evening news, and that if Americans knew about the success stories they would understand his confidence of victory. Following his remarks he answered questions from members of the audience. close
