Telephone lines were open for calls from viewers.

Alexander Macina was interviewed by telephone about his documentary video Religion in the Public Square. The video was one of the second prize-winners for the middle school section in C-SPAN Classroom’s StudentCam video documentary contest. This was a national competition in which middle and high school students produced a documentary exploring a current political topic using some C-SPAN footage and covering multiple viewpoints. Alexander Macina is a 7th grade student at Shaker Junior High School in Latham, New York. The video examined the topic of religion in public life.

Chuck Todd reported from his newsroom on political activities including reports on the future plans of former Governor Tommy Thompson, advertisements in New Mexico that accuse the Democrats of playing politics with the immigration issue, and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich campaigning in New Hampshire. close
