Government officials and health industry representatives spoke at the 3rd Annual World Health Care Congress, co-sponsored by The Wall Street Journal.

Secretary John Snow spoke about the impact of health care costs on the U.S. economy. Following his remarks videotaped remarks by President Bush were shown and Mr. Hubbard spoke about the administration’s various health care policy initiatives. The program concluded with a panel on a number of issues, including forecasts of the solvency of the Medicare Trust Fund and how far private sector participation would extend the safety net. A number of participants also answered questions from the audience. close
