The President and Mrs. Bush participated in the South Lawn arrival ceremony for the President of the People’s Republic of China. The ceremony included official greetings, a review of U.S. troops, a 21 gun salute, and the playing of national anthems. President Bush and President Hu also spoke about U.S.-China relations and their hopes for the official visit.
