Ronald Kessler talked about his biography, Laura Bush: An Intimate Portrait of the First Lady, published by Doubleday. During this event, Mr. Kessler gave an overview of Laura Bush’s life and said that former portrayals of her as a reckless driver in her youth and a marijuana dealer in college are either wildly exaggerated or completely wrong. He also talked about how Mrs. Bush dealt with George W. Bush’s drinking. He also talked about the cooperation he received in writing the book.
