William Pelfrey talked about his book Billy, Alfred, and General Motors: The Story of Two Unique Men, a Legendary Company, and a Remarkable Time in American History, published by AMACOM. He told the story of the two founders of General Motors, Billy Durant and Alfred Sloan, describing the early days of the American auto industry and their contrasting leadership styles. A former journalist, Mr. Pelfrey worked for General Motors for 15 years, most recently as director of executive communications. After his presentation he answered audience members' questions.
