This ornate room is located just off the Senate floor. It is where President Lyndon Johnson signed the 1964 Voting Rights Act and where President Ronald Reagan established a tradition in 1981 of an inauguration day visit to sign documents and for photo opportunities with the media. Except for these visits, the room is used by senators for private meetings. close
