Judges spoke about various issues of interest to lawyers and the judiciary at an annual conference hosted by the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. Chief Judge Paul R. Michel spoke on the state of the courts. Circuit Judge Richard Linn gave an update on information technology. Circuit Judge Alvin A. Schall gave an update on the mediation pilot program. Federal Circuit Judicial Council Executive and Clerk of Court Jan Horbaly gave an update on Federal Circuit rules.

Following their presentations, a panel talked about important issues facing the Federal Circuit in the next ten years. The moderator was John M. Whealan, Deputy General Counsel for Intellectual Property Law and Solicitor for the United States Patent and Trademark Office. close
