A panel talked about the activities of the intelligence community such as electronic surveillance and the oversight of Congress and the courts. Among the topics they addressed were the oversight responsibilities of Congress, adapting intelligence gathering to new technologies as well as privacy rights, and the Bush administration’s use of intelligence information in prosecuting international terrorism. Ms. Crowley moderated the panel which responded to questions from the audience. close
