The Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs heard testimony on the nomination of R. David Paulson to be Under Secretary for Federal Emergency Management, U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Mr. Paulson was introduced by Representative Shaw, and testified about his experience and qualifications, FEMA operations in the wake of hurricane Katrina, emergency preparedness programs, and planning for responses to natural and other disasters. close
