Richard Dawkins talked about his book The God Delusion, published by Houghton Mifflin. In the book he argues that there is no rational or moral reason to believe in God or any other supernatural higher power. He says that because atheists are discriminated against in the United States they tend not to be vocal about their views, even though collectively they could be an influential political and social force. Topics included his own atheism, religion as supernatural belief, famous scientists who were atheists, the cruelties of the Old Testament God, and evolution. He read some selections from his work, and after his presentation he responded to audience members' questions.
