British Prime Minister Blair spoke about challenges facing the international community in the 21st century and on the policies and institutions needed to address those challenges. Among the topics he addressed were international efforts to combat terrorism, promoting democracy abroad, operations in Iraq, and developing future strategies for fostering cooperation and change based on global values. He also spoke about several specific areas of international concern such as the role of the United Nations, environmental issues, the situation in the Middle East, and humanitarian efforts in Africa. Following his remarks he answered questions from the audience. close
