The National Hunger Symposium was held by a coalition of organizations on the eve of National Hunger Awareness Day to address the issue of hungry Americans. A panel, moderated by Max Armstrong, talked about the topic “Agriculture’s Role in Ending Hunger.” They focused on the state of the agriculture industry, provisions of the Farm Bill and proposed agriculture legislation, cooperative efforts with the food industry and non-governmental aid organizations, and agricultural trade issues.
