The forum “Beyond Censorship: Technologies and Policies to Give Parents Control Over Children’s Media Content” discussed how best to protect children from inappropriate media and guide them toward educational programming. Topics included the responsibilities of government, industry, and parents; the regulatory approach and the technological approach to control; new technologies that offer control, and new challenge such as mobile Internet video.
