Lobbying for Israel
Professor Walt participated by video uplink from Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Professor Mearsheimer participated by video uplink from Chicago.
Stephen Walt and John Mearsheimer wrote an article in the March London Review of Books that raised questions about the power the Israel lobby wields over U.S. foreign policy, saying that the lobbyists try to prevent criticism by claiming anti-semitism. They talked about this issue. Their article is the cover story in the July-August issue of Foreign Policy Magazine. They responded to telephone calls and electronic mail.
