Secretary Chertoff addressed the audience about the reality of terrorism and the need for vigilance. He reflected on the popularity of the series “24,” saying that one of its most intriguing aspects is the very difficult choices presented to the characters and the real consequences of mistakes. He paid tribute to real-life heroes such as members of the military and Homeland Security Department personnel. He answered a few questions from audience members.

Producers and cast members of the television series “24” joined terrorism experts to discuss the effect popular media might have on public perceptions of the fight against terrorism. The discussion was moderated by Rush Limbaugh. After their discussion the participants responded to audience members' questions.
