The Communicators is C-SPAN’s weekly series that examines the people and events that shape telecommunications policy.
Senator Dorgan and Senator DeMint were interviewed. Both serve on the Senate Commerce Committee, which voted out proposed telecommunications legislation by 15-7. One of the key amendments was network neutrality. This amendment was tied 11-11, and according to Senate rules, does not pass out of committee. Each Senator explained his view of the issue and his vote. Each Senator was interviewed in his office.
