Senator Santorum spoke by remote video from the Russell Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill about the stem cell research legislation being debated by the Senate later in the day. He was the main sponsor of 2 of 3 bills; one bill (S. 2754) would provide federal funding for HHS for research using stem cells not derived from embryos; the other (S 3504) would bar research on embryos grown from “fetal farms,” in a non-human uterus, or from pregnancies created for research. He also responded to telephone calls and electronic mail. close
