Representatives of traditional private civil rights organizations testified about growing racial disparities and inequities, and about civil rights enforcement by the U.S. Department of Justice. Topics included the Justice Department’s failure to pursue claims of civil rights violations, the Voting Rights Act, immigration, and employment discrimination. After their statements they answered questions from NAACP facilitators.
