Alpha Phi Alpha, the first fraternity established for black men, held a discussion on “Where in the World Is the African-American Male?” with members of Congress at the Alpha Phi Alpha Centennial Convention. Mr. Merida moderated the discussion. Among the topics addressed were the role of the black community in developing U.S. domestic and foreign policy, the state of race relations, and the importance of public service. close
